Tierra Group Sponsors 2024 Soirée for Seagrass

Pompano Beach, Fla. – September 12, 2024. Tierra Group™ has extended its support for the third annual “Soirée for Seagrass,” a fundraiser event by Friends of Manatee Lagoon, aimed at raising awareness on the decline of seagrass, the main food source for manatees. The event also focuses on educating and engaging the community on ways to protect manatees and their habitats. The soirée will take place at the Florida Power & Light Manatee Lagoon facility, which is located next to the manatee viewing area and overlooks the Riviera Beach Next Generation Clean Energy Center.

Friends of Manatee Lagoon, a nonprofit organization, is committed to broadening environmental education for Palm Beach County and beyond. They aim to achieve this through future enhanced exhibits and experiential learning opportunities. The organization collaborates with ecological partners to conduct research and share information that promotes healthier coastal ecosystems.

This year’s distinguished guest is Dr. Guy Harvey, a world-renowned artist and conservationist, who will be presented with a special award in recognition of his dedication to ocean preservation through the research and educational initiatives of the Guy Harvey Foundation.

Paul Connor, Chief Executive Officer of Tierra Group™, states, ‘We are proud to continue our support for the Soirée for Seagrass, an important event that highlights the decline of seagrass and the need to protect manatees and their habitats. This is a valuable opportunity to engage the community in meaningful discussions about conservation and emphasize our shared responsibility in preserving coastal ecosystems for future generations.'”

Tierra’s involvement in the Soirée for Seagrass aligns with the company’s long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability. By supporting initiatives that focus on protecting vital ecosystems, Tierra aims to foster a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of industries, communities, and the environment, ultimately promoting a more sustainable future for all.
